Ancient Zodiac Pendants in 14k

$715.00Price

A time-worn and etheric 14k charm featuring five diamonds—one set on the face of the coin and four adorning the front and back of the bail.

✨January 20 - February 18✨

Aquarius, the water bearer, is represented in my collection by a delicate Greek coin once used in ancient Italy, specifically Calabria. Just as the water bearer pours forth new possibilities, this coin’s imagery reflects themes of renewal, flow, and intuition. Adorned with a scallop shell, it's a powerful symbol of divine feminine energy.

✨February 19 - March 20✨

Pisces is represented here in my collection by whirling dolphins on a Greek coin from its northern most island, Thasos.  Pisces is one of the earliest known zodiac signs, its origins steeped in the magic of ancient Egypt. The two entwined fish are symbols of Aphrodite and Eros in Greek mythology. Fluidly, they transformed into fish to escape the perils of the monster Typhoon.

✨March 21 - April 19✨

Aries is represented here in my collection by a ram from an ancient coin of Troy. I was drawn to the delicate stature of this piece—it’s the tiniest lil’ bitty thing I’ve ever seen.  Rams have long been symbols of strength and protection in Greek mythology.

✨April 20 - May 20✨

Taurus is represented in my collection by a silver hemidrachm struck in the ancient city of Parium in Mysia during the 4th century B.C. The bull, a powerful symbol of strength, stability, and perseverance, has long been associated with Taurus—an earth sign known for its grounded nature.  On ancient coinage, a cow looking back often symbolizes wealth and prosperity and a love for life’s finer things.

✨May 21 - June 20✨

Gemini is represented in my collection by an ancient coin from Mysia, Pergamon, dating back to circa 270 BC. This coin features two twin stars, representing the celestial twins, Castor and Pollux.  Geminis are all about duality and balance.

✨June 21 - July 22✨

Cancer is represented in my collection by a delicate ancient Sicilian coin, originally used in antiquity. This coin features a crab, a sacred symbol of the sea god Poseidon. Evolutionarily, the crab is a creature that thrives in chaos, having independently evolved five different times in separate places—a testament to resilience and transformation. When linked to the Cancer zodiac, it embodies the height of summer, deep emotions, intuition, and renewal.

✨July 23 - August 22✨

Leo is represented here in my collection by a powerful lion from an ancient Mysia Kyzikos Hemiobol, a Greek coin minted between 450-400 BC.  The lion has long been a symbol of strength, courage, and leadership, from the Nemean Lion of Hercules’ twelve labors to its celestial place in the zodiac. A sign of resilience, regal presence, and the heart of the lion.

✨ August 23 - September 22 ✨

Virgo is represented in my collection by an ancient Pisidian woman walking with a serpent, a figure that brings to life the transformational and commanding nature of this zodiac sign. Virgos are often symbolized by Astraea, the star maiden, and this tiny golden goddess walks beneath the stars, embodying divine feminine energy, wisdom, and intuition.

✨ September 23 - October 22. ✨

Libra is represented in my collection by an ancient Roman coin from the reign of Emperor Hadrian, dating back to AD 117-138.  A goddess walks under the moon holding a set of scales.  Libras are known for their balance, grace, and desire for harmony.

✨ October 23 - November 21 ✨

Scorpio is represented in my collection through imagery from a Roman coin dating back to 85 B.C. The coin features a scorpion, symbolizing depth, passion, and the strength to overcome challenges.

✨ November 22 - December 21 ✨

Sagittarius is represented in my collection through imagery from a Roman coin dating back to the reign of Emperor Gallienus (AD 253-268). This piece symbolizes Sagittarius with the centaur, an archer—embodying the spirit of freedom, strength, and the pursuit of higher knowledge.

✨ December 22 - January 19 ✨

Capricorn is represented in my collection by an ancient Roman denarius from the reign of Emperor Vespasian (69-79 A.D.). The coin features the Sea Goat and a shield, a symbol of resiliance and transformation.  Half of the creature is a goat and the other is a fish. This mythological symbol connects to the story of Pan--while fleeing from a giant, Pan leapt into the Nile River and transformed into part fish to escape.
